This year’s Biomedical Sciences grant competition received 187 highly competitive applications from 101 institutions, with a strong focus on translation and innovation in line with the grant call. After a rigorous selection process, three exceptional projects were chosen. The new committee faced a challenging task in selecting from such a high-quality pool. The selected projects closely align with SreePVF’s focus on translational impact and broad societal benefit.

Dr Jyotsnendu Giri, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad

Autologous Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) Loaded Personalized Wound Care Patch at Patient Bedside for Effective and Affordable Burn Wound Care.

Dr Arun Anirudhan V, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum

Design and Development of a Comprehensive Low-Cost Simulation Lab for
Advanced Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Respiratory System, Vascular Access, Critical Care, Interventional Catheterization, and Ultrasound Training.

Dr Gopinath Packirisamy, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering,
Joint faculty in Centre for Nanotechnology, IIT Roorkee.

Development of biosensor for non-invasive and early-stage detection of bladder cancer using urine samples.
