About Us
Honoring Outstanding personalities from various fields by the Dr. Pinnamaneni and Smt. Seethadevi foundation
Sree Padmavathi Venkateswara Foundation (SreePVF) is a non-profit organization based in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The foundation focuses on health care, education, innovation, and agriculture, offering awards, donations, and grants to individuals and institutions whose aims and activities are aligned with those of the foundation. Since its inception in 2014, SreePVF has been committed to enriching the lives of people through philanthropic activities and playing a vital role in nation-building.
The foundation was established by Dr. Chadalawada Sudha and Dr. Chadalawada Nageswara Rao, both successful medical professionals and alumni of prestigious institutes such as Harvard Medical College and Tufts University, respectively. After returning from the USA in 1978, they established the popular tertiary health care center, “Pinnamaneni Poly Clinic,” in Vijayawada, a small town in those days. Driven by their passion for social work and their commitment to making a difference in the areas of healthcare, public health, and education, they founded SreePVF with the aim of contributing to society and the nation.
India is rapidly transforming into a dynamic hub of intellectual innovation and discovery. To support the science and technology ecosystem in the country, the Sree Padmavathi Venkateswara Foundation has created peer-reviewed funding programs that recognize exceptional researchers with the potential to achieve ground-breaking results in areas of critical national importance.
SreePVF promotes research in the fields of biomedical sciences and agriculture through the Sree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Research Grant Programme. The programme’s focus on these two fields is particularly significant, as they are critical to human well-being and the sustainable development of societies. Biomedical research can help find cures for diseases and develop new treatments, while agricultural research can contribute to food security, poverty reduction, and sustainable development
The foundation provides the researchers identified through these schemes with generous funding and empowering mentorship to generate knowledge and develop sustainable solutions of the highest quality. The foundation’s vision of low-cost sustainable solutions not only addresses contemporary problems in medicine and agriculture but also ensures that these solutions are accessible and affordable to those who need them the most.
The foundation also works on projects to deploy advanced knowledge and improve the income of small and marginal farmers. Small and marginal farmers are often at a disadvantage due to their limited resources and lack of access to advanced knowledge and technology. The foundation’s projects to deploy advanced knowledge to help these farmers can have a significant impact on their livelihoods and, in turn, the overall development of rural communities.
As part of our efforts to support the development of agroecology, we have partnered with the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture to establish the Krishna Sudha Academy for Agroecology. This academy has a mission to create a world-class research facility for agroecological approaches to farming, rural business enterprises, and public policy. It also aims to develop human resources by building an excellent learning ecosystem for farmers, students, consumers, and policymakers. At the academy, we are committed to promoting sustainable and innovative solutions for the benefit of agriculture and the communities it supports.
We believe that by working together, we can create sustainable solutions that will benefit not only India but also the world. Join us on this exciting journey to inspire innovation, enrich lives, and build a better nation.
